Our Team

Byron Roth is Chairman and CEO of ROTH Capital Partners. Under his management the firm has helped raise over $50 billion for small-cap companies, as well as advising on many merger and acquisition transactions.
Mr. Roth is a co-founder and General Partner of three private investment firms; Rx3 Ventures, a $50 million influencer fund focused on consumer brands, Rivi Capital, a $35 million fund concentrated in the mining sector, and Aceras Biomedical, an in-house incubator focused on funding the development of novel medical innovations. He also co-founded two long only asset management firms: Cortina Asset Management, recently acquired by Silvercrest Asset Management (NASDAQ: SAMG), and EAM Investors, with assets under management of approximately $1.5 billion.
Mr. Roth is a member of the Advisory Council, Executive Committee, and serves as the Chairman on the Nominating Committee for the Cornell SC Johnson College of Business. He is a founding member of the University of San Diego Executive Cabinet for the Athletic Department, and former member of the Board of Trustees where he served on the Investment Committee for the university’s endowment and athletic department for nine years. Mr. Roth also sits on the Executive Board of SMU’s Cox School of Business
Mr. Roth serves as a National Trustee for the Boys and Girls Club of America, and served as the Co-Chair for the 2019 Boys and Girls Club Pacific Youth of the Year Competition. He also sits on the Board of Directors for the Lott IMPACT Foundation, whose Lott IMPACT Trophy is presented annually to the college football defensive IMPACT player of the year for their contribution on and off the field. Mr. Roth was the honoree at the Challenged Athletes Foundation (CAF) 2015 Celebration of Heroes, Heart and Hope Gala and the 2018 Athletes First Classic Golden Heart Award benefitting the Orangewood Foundation.
Mr. Roth earned his BBA from the University of San Diego in 1985 and his MBA from the Cornell SC Johnson College of Business in 1987.

Over the last 10 years Nate has worked with some of the most prominent family offices and investors in the US. Prior to Rx3 Ventures, he was managing director of ROTH’s private capital group, where he was responsible for deal sourcing, valuation analysis and distribution for private companies. Nate also acts as CIO for his family investments and is managing partner for A&N Ventures. Prior to ROTH, Nate was a founding member of Sapheon where he spearheaded the private companies fundraising prior to its acquisition. He is on the Board of Directors for the San Diego Sports Innovators. Nate graduated from Santa Clara University with a BA in Finance.

Aaron is considered to be one of the greatest NFL quarterbacks of all time, known to be differentiated from his peers due to his exceptional on field IQ. Aaron has also had a lot of success off the football field with various business endeavors and investments. Aaron holds positions in numerous private companies and has made personal investments in various firms spanning the consumer sector. Aaron provides Rx3 with unique access to investment opportunities, relationships with premium brands and influence that can help strengthen portfolio companies.

Ryan is a Principal at Rx3, responsible for managing all aspects of the fund’s investment process, including sourcing, diligence and portfolio management. Previously, Ryan was an associate on the consumer and retail team at Carlyle Group, where he focused on evaluating new investments and supporting the management team at NBTY, a portfolio company. He also worked as a summer associate for CircleUp Growth Partners, an early- stage consumer fund. Ryan began his career as an investment banking analyst at Morgan Stanley focused on the consumer and retail sectors. He earned his undergraduate degree from Harvard and his MBA from Stanford’s Graduate School of Business.

Marjorie is a Vice President at Rx3 responsible for assisting in all aspects of the fund’s investment process, including sourcing, diligence and portfolio management. Previously, Marjorie held various roles at Barclays including investment banking associate on the consumer retail group and equity research junior analyst covering the hardlines / broadlines retail sector. Marjorie began her career as an analyst at Goldman Sachs. She graduated from the Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University.

Conner is an Associate at Rx3, responsible for assisting in all aspects of the fund’s investment process, including sourcing, diligence and portfolio management. Previously, Conner was an associate on the institutional equity sales team at William Blair. Conner graduated from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, where he received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance.
Gordon serves as CFO & COO of ROTH Capital Partners, LLC. Prior to joining ROTH he spent twenty three years in Public Accounting, including thirteen years with Deloitte & Touche, most recently serving as a Tax Partner and the Partner-in-Charge of the Des Moines office Tax Department. He is a CPA and a member of the American Institute of CPA’s. Gordon also serves on the Board of Managers for two small-cap management firms & two private investment firms. Mr. Roth was also a founding partner of the Iowa Barnstormers of the Arena Football League. Gordon earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from William Penn University, where he also served as a member of their Board of Trustees and was inducted into their Athletic Hall of Fame. He also earned a Master of Science in Accounting from Drake University.
Alex serves as Managing Partner & Founder of RAJ Capital, the asset management platform of the Bhathal Family, and co-owner and Executive Director of Sacramento Basketball Holdings LLC, which owns the Sacramento Kings and DOCO, the entertainment and sports district in downtown Sacramento. Previously, Alex served as CEO of RAJ Swim for 11 years and led the largest private equity backed buyout in the swimwear industry. He is a national board member of Gen Next, a member of YPO, and has been recognized as a New Leader within the Seminar Network. Alex earned his undergraduate degree from UCLA, his MBA from USC, and is a current participant in the YPO Presidents’ Program at Harvard Business School.
